In January 2008 there were rumors, as many times before, about a possible reunion of New Kids On The Block. This time the rumors appeared because of the creation, of www.nkotb.com site (without a contet at first). The news didn´t wait much longer and on January 26^th People.com had a exclusive report of New Kids On The Block reunion after 14 years apart. The following day a video was published on www.nkotb.com, that was a summary of the group's career and left the door open to the future with the first notes of a new song and the question: Are you ready?

Within hours the news spread like powder and media from five continents echoed the return of the five guys from Boston.

On April 4th Rockefeller Center (NYC) and its adjoining streets were invaded by thousands NKOTB´s fans, who had spent hours waiting in the rain to see a unique event. Live on TV for the whole country and worldwide via Internet, NBC showed for the first time in 14 years, the five original members of New Kids on the Block together. That´s how they made their return official. They also gave some clues of what the future of the group would be and announced that their first performance together would be in the same TV program on May 16th. That afternoon they flew to Boston to do an interview on the radio station "Kiss FM" who has supported them (as a group and as solo artists) over the last 20 years.

Begining in that moment the guys made tonzs of interviews in the media where they revealed how and why they had decided to join again. They spoke for the first time about a new album and a future tour of the group.

The boys then dipped in a hard period of rehersals that ended with the live performance at House of Blues in West Hollywood on May 13^th. That day the first single from New Kids On The Block: Summertime was avaliable on Itunes . The videoclip was already filmed.

One day before VIP tickets to the first concerts of NKOTB´s tour were on sale. The tickets were sold out in minutes wich showed everybody that the tour and the return of the group will be a total and resounding success.

Again media published the dedication of their fans who had spent days queuing at the heart of Manhattan to attend their first appearance after 14 years, as they were invited to NYSE closing bell.

It was May 16^th and finally the big day arrived, New Kids On The Block performed together for the first time on TV since their come back. They did it on the Today Show, under the rain and they beat the audience record of the program in its history. They sang a remix of their most famous songs, Tonight and the new single Summertime. Once again the images of their first performance traveled around the world. There was no doubt: New Kids On The Block had returned and they did it on a big way.

With the success secured that same day more tour dates in September were announced, while the guys were enlisting in a weekend of madness with a record signing at Macy's, interviews in several radio stations and multitudinous appearances in festivals of NY and Boston.

As time went by there were leaked information about the new album: a duet with New Edition, collaborations with Pussycat Dolls, Lady Gaga, Teddy Riley, Timbaland... The boys were as close as always with their fans and left blogs written by themselves on their website revealing how they were living all this madness.

On July 8^th NKOTB crossed the pond and gave a press conference in Germany about their comeback to music business. They also used their visit to Germany to film the videoclip of Dirty Dancing (one new song) that would be included in the soundtrack of a german film set in medieval times.

The promotion took a dizzying pace and in August they made their first performance online at Walmart.com, a signing record and performance at the opening of a Best Buy and filmed the video clip of Single with NeYo in Las Vegas.

September began with the release in USA, of "The Block", NKOTB's first album since 1994, a new performance on the Today Show with NeYo and their first performance in 14 years in England at Oxford Circus´s MHV.

They released Dirty Dancing video, and announced that the next single would be 2 in the morning. Also they guys won a "Boston Music Award" to the best band of the year.

But where they really shined with their own light and made the audience get up from their seats was at the American Music Awards in November with a spectacular performance: a remix of Single, The Right Stuff, Please Do not Go Girl, I'll Beloving you forever, and Dirty Dancing.

The U.S. tour ended with some concerts in Mexico and 2009 would began with the assault to the old continent. An extensive tour in England, Ireland, Germany, Holland and France left the European fans with good taste. In February their European tour ended and they returned home to film 2 in the morning´s video clip.

The promotion of their come back continued with appearances in several TV shows like Regis & Kelly or Jimmy Kimmel program, a brief rest before resuming their promised tour over USA and Canada for secondary markets. Also this tour was very success in ticket sales despite introduce just a few changes on the show.

New Kids On The Block were as supportive as they had always been. Throughout the tour a shirt whose proceeds would go to the fight against breast cancer through the foundation Betty Wood had been part of merchandising. Danny organized for his birthday, a charity event to raise more funds. Joe started his foundation "Let's get this". Through it he asked all fans to donate books for children in the concerts.

While NKOTB were still breaking records as a group in May, they embarked on an adventure with 2000 fans: a 3 days cruise to the Bahamas. Performances, Meet and Greets and other activities made the cruise a success.

June saw the return of New Kids On The Block to the stage with their Full Service tour which was, again, sold out within minutes. Aware that would be their farewell for now, they cast their concert on July 17th in Dallas live online worldwide.

Then a few months of well deserved rest began during which they runned up some solo projects. With the cruise 2010 in May pending as the following NKOTB project.

But before that in December the guys planned a benefic concert to rise money and toys for "Toys or tost Greater Boston". The concert was at the House of Blues in Boston on December 20^th and was a total succsess and the group raised over 60k instantly. In addition to the monetary donations that poured in, fans filled FIVE plus truckloads of brand new toys to support the charity.

That same month the guys released in exclusive for people.com a video of one new song "Coming Home" that was the video presentation for their upcoming DVD sameteatle. The presale of the DVD deluxe version started in December, altought the DVD´s won´t be shipped till February.

After that the guys started a new contest on their official site where the fans had to vote for their cities. The winner cities would have a screening of the Coming Home DVD and the guys would hold a Question and Answer session following the screening.

At the middle of January NKOTB made the announcement of a special concert: new date all 5 together!!!! One concert. The concert would take place on June 18^th at the Radio City Music Hall in NYC. That was the first confirmed date of what will became after new dates adds on the Casino Tour (May-Jun 2010).

During Joe´s solo tour, he confirmed on an interview for the Canadian radio Station Chum FM, that the group would be part of the the big anual concert this radio station makes from Barbados: Breakfast in Barbados 2010, which would take place in April. Growing up that way the NKOTB public apearences projects for 2010.

At the end of January the guys attended the tree places that won the contest for the DVD screening, that were Seattle, west Virginia and long Island. In all of them the guys where at the theatre joining all the fans on the screaning and after they answered some question from the fans.

At the start of February NKOTB made a big promotion campain for their DVD "Coming Home" release. They apeared in programs and publications as: Today Show, Ok Magazine, Jimmy Fallon show, Fox News... etc.

And finally arrived April and the guys traveled to Barbados for the Chum FM annual big concert!!!

And at their come back to USA the group started the rehearsals to the Casino tour, which began on Las Vegas in May. At the half of the month the had their anual Cruise with 2000 fans. And also the cruise has named the fastest selling cruise charter of all time.
